FUN FIESTA PARADE "PARADA NG BAYAN" Loud Festive Music by the Philippine Heritage Band signals the opening of the festival. The participants (community groups, business reps and the public) will follow the marching band as they march along the boardwalk by the lake. The parade ends at the Stage in the Park and marks the opening ceremonies. FUN CULTURAL DANCE “SAYAW NG KULTURANG PILIPINO” A fabulous group of New Yorkers will perform in their finest form the “Jota Cavitena”. The "jota" being among the most popular of the Spanish dances which were "Filipinized" by the people in many places across Luzon and the Visayas. This version uses unstrung elongated bamboo clickers instead of the Spanish wooden castañuelas. Performance by: Pilipino American Cultural Community Organization (PACCO) ![]() This is followed by the youthful and energetic dance troupe to showcase traditional cultural dances with a touch of modern dance fusion.

Accompanied by the enchanting melodies of 10-pc rondalla (native string ensemble), it's a celebration of Philippine heritage in motion. OPM: CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF ORIGINAL PILIPINO MUSIC In 1974, the same year Harbourfront Centre opened, the Philippine music scene was transformed by the release of Hotdog’s "Ikaw ang Miss Universe ng Buhay Ko." This hit song was the catalyst for the Original Pilipino Music (OPM) movement, a genre that would come to define Filipino popular music. TFC30 HAPPY HOUR FEATURING BGYO BGYO is a five-member Filipino boy band formed in 2018 by ABS-CBN's Star Hunt Academy, consisting of Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate. Dubbed the "Aces of P-pop".
